History:
Asset Recovery Auctions & Appraisals, Inc.
was started eighteen years ago by President & Owner, Mr. Ken Roebuck,
and has been operating successfully ever since. ARA began as the FF&E,
(Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) Liquidating arm of John Roebuck
& Associates, another successful Memphis auction firm. Asset Recovery
worked alongside Roebuck & Associates under one umbrella until 2000,
when Asset Recovery split from Roebuck & Associates, so that we might
continue to flourish & expand on our own. The results have been fantastic.
Asset Recovery continues to enhance our services and expand with respect
to our areas of expertise. Today, we offer a wide variety of auction services
tailored to fit the needs of all our clients. In addition to auction services,
we provide a wide range of appraisal services for our clients.
Ken Roebuck attended
the Missouri Auction School, and completed their program in 1985. The
Missouri Auction School is widely recognized as the number one auction
education institution in North America. Today, Ken is a member of CAI,
the Certified Auctioneers
Institute. Not simply a group of licensed auctioneers, membership
in CAI is the most prestigious designation awarded
in the auction industry. Ken is also a member of NAA,
the National Auctioneers Association. He also is a member, and
Past President of TAA,
the Tennessee Auctioneers Association. Furthermore, he holds
his CAPP License, (Certified Appraiser of Personal Property). You
can feel comfortable, also, knowing that ARA is fully bonded.
Today's Asset

Asset recovery offers
a wide variety of services to its clients. We conduct regular, standing
auctions on the premises on the first & third Saturdays of each
month, beginning at 9:00am. In addition, we conduct onsite auctions,
when your selling needs require it. Asset Recovery sells all types of
merchandise, goods and equipment for its clients on a consignment
basis as well. We will sell your goods & merchandise on consignment,
or will buy complete inventories to sell at auction. Asset Recovery
also has extensive experience in estate sales. Should the need arise,
contact Asset Recovery for all of your estate auction needs.
In addition to selling
goods for individuals and small businesses, Asset Recovery has the right
experience and the proper expertise to handle much larger auction
& recovery operations. In the past few years, Asset Recovery
has handled large recovery auctions for such entities as FedEx,
General Motors, the United States Bankruptcy Courts, Shelby
County, the City of Bartlett, and many others. In addition
we regularly handle auction & recovery operations for smaller
local businesses such as Airport Chevrolet, Bogie's Family
Entertainment & Golf Center, numerous local restaurants,
and many more.
